In my humble opinion, the only reason to have a party is an excuse to eat delicious food- especially gorgeous desserts. Ok, I guess grocery store cupcakes will get the job done if you need a fix for a sweet tooth craving, but we do eat with our eyes and these trending desserts will make you salivate at the sight of them!
Tye Dye Dipped Sugar Cookies
Tell me these aren’t freaking awesome! The color combinations and swirl patterns are endless. The best part is, they are super easy to make because they don’t require a ton of effort. Simply drizzle your colored royal icing into a bowl or shallow plate, dip, drip, and viola! Add some sprinkles too if you’re feeling extra festive!
The Cartoon Cake
This little bit of edible art definitely took over Instagram for a hot minute, as well as my brain! I love the quirky idea of making a slice of cake look perfectly two-dimensional. Some folks like fondant, which gives this design a very polished look, but I’ve always been one for sketching which is another reason why I prefer buttercream. I want it to look like a cartoon and taste like cake! Either way, this piece is sure to “draw” everyone’s eye at the dessert table.

Crunchy marshmallows on a stick! And I am here for it! These adorable treats are so versatile because you can pipe them in any shape and any color you want. Here are some that my girls and I made for our “Pal-entine’s Day in the Park” event and both kids and adult couldn’t stop eating them.
